Ummm... I don't know what it means in Japanese.
But in Chinese the two symbols are tien & xia literally meaning "all under heaven".
It can be used to refer to the world of humans(as opposed to the world of the gods).

No, I'm not a design student, I only do this for fun =) I'm actually trying out to become a nurseman ^^;
I'm really glad my work pleases you, but as for character design, I'm not really sure. I've been trying to draw the human form more and more, recently. But I'm always awful, I don't get along with it. And then, the program I use is not enough to reproduce freehand lines so well. I'd probably had to use vectors, which I'm not very confortable with, yet. ^^ But I'm learning! XD
Well, thank you so much for the comment, and you should keep betting on that style of yours, because it's truly unique and stylish. I love the simple-look of it, but specially the whole soft and trendy technique behind it ^^ Keep it up! =)
